Yolanda - I see a connection in what an artist does by giving life to his/her subconscious images that originate from that boundless sea of our collective subconscious. Artists shape and mould those images with the help of rational and deliberate choices, technique, etc., into a form that can communicate with other people, and metaphorically scatter those leaves around. This is something that I consider a vital part of my personal task in this world, to show the precious value of what we call decay.
Dorica - Can you say what you mean by your "personal task" in this world?
Yolanda – Perhaps task is too heavy a word. Though I do believe that it is important for any individual to discover his or her uniqueness (by genes, talents, upbringing and all the random experiences that formed you), because being aware of that makes your contribution to the development of this earth more effective. But this is based on my belief, and I do realize this is a personal belief, that there is a development towards higher or greater consciousness going on in the cosmos and on this earth.
